Ways and Means Officer: Sara Little, Treasurer
Responsible for recommending and organizing multiple fundraising activities throughout the year. These have included but are not limited to auctions, plant sales, sale of merchandise, yard sales, bake sales, and other fun events. Net proceeds go back to our community in the form of scholarships, charitable giving and other community support.

The Major Gifts & Grants Committee augments our fundraising activities by seeking out private donors, businesses, foundations, grant opportunities, and sponsorships throughout the year.
This committee partners with Ways & Means to ensure our fundraisers have the major sponsor funding they need (e.g., Arley Day Festival) and with the Publicity Committee to provide broad recognition for our donors.
This additional source of funding ensures continuity in our income stream.

The Ways & Means Committee is responsible for recommending and organizing multiple fundraising activities throughout the year. These include, but are not limited to: Silent Auction, Ferns & Florals Sales, promotion and sales of AWC Booth merchandise, Yard Sales, Bake Sales, Dog Daze of Arley, Poinsettia Sales, and other events. RADA Knives orders and Air Evac memberships have been ongoing and have shown steady sales.
Net proceeds go back to the community we love in the form of
scholarships, and charitable giving - to our schools, library, and other
areas of community support, in keeping with the
Arley Women's Club Mission Statement.

All-Hands-On-Deck for Arley Day!
With the help of our Supporters, the Arley Day Festival, Parade & Car Show has taken on a life of its own. For 50 years, the AWC has held this fun-filled day in May, and it grows every year!
It takes all members of the Women’s Club to plan, organize, and run the event.
Always the third Saturday in May.

Everyone loves a Bake Sale...
especially when it is an Arley Women’s Club Bake Sale! Very popular in our community, these sales are well attended.
The co-chairs of this committee will arrange publicity, arrange for, and collect lots of baked goods for the three main sales, plus others that ‘pop-up’ during the year, at a Yard Sale and other opportunities.
We hope everyone will bake!

This Committee has the responsibility for collecting and sorting the various merchandise, furniture, and clothing that makes its way to us from AWC members and other generous donors. Setting up the location and working with the many shoppers who attend for great bargains! Lastly, planning and arranging for the unsold items to be donated to a worthy charity at day’s end.

This fun fundraiser takes place in the Fall, with lots of wagging tails!
The Committee will arrange for a photographer, set up the site at Hamner Park, manage vendors, register pups and their owners, and conduct the Pet Parade!
Calendars are professionally created featuring all the doggie participants and sponsors.
Sales, production, and distribution of calendars add to the bottom line.

This Committee arranges for the wholesale purchase and delivery various types of plants for the sale, arrange for
publicity and handle pre-orders and pick-ups. Typically, orders and payments are accepted in March and plants arrive in April.

This Committee will arrange for the wholesale purchase and delivery of fresh holiday Poinsettias for the sale, arrange for publicity, handle pre-sales, and pick-ups.

The Committee will arrange for the selection and purchase of profitable merchandise to sell for the Club. Responsible to maintain the inventory system in place and handle the display in appealing ways at the Smith Lake Flea Market & Vintage Mall Booth. Additionally, sponsoring special events once or twice a year to promote sales.
Participation in other opportunities or events, such as Arley Day, will also be coordinated by this group.

The Silent Auction and the Live Auction. From collecting auction items to managing the venue and decorating, this committee coordinates all the moving parts!
Cocktail hour, dinner, music, and bidding...all mix to make this a very special event for our supporters and members.

The Women’s Club will host a booth at the Meek Holiday Market held at the High School gym.
The Committee will receive baked goods and organize merchandise selections from the AWC Booth to display and sell at the Holiday Market.
